Warning Message:The National Weather Service in Portland has issued a Winter
Storm Watch for snow and freezing rain...which is in effect from
Tuesday afternoon through late Tuesday night.
* Timing...brief light snow will begin Tuesday afternoon near the
  coastal mountains and transition rather quickly to freezing rain
  by evening...then change to rain by early Wednesday morning. The
  snow will continue in the South Washington Cascade foothills
  into the evening before changing to freezing rain later Tuesday
  evening and overnight Tuesday night...turning to rain by mid
  morning Wednesday.
* Accumulation/snow levels...the coastal mountains will see a
  trace to one or two inches of snow before changing over to
  freezing rain...with 2 to 4 tenths of an inch of ice
  accumulation possible. The Cascade foothills will see 1 to 4
  inches of snow before changing to freezing rain and 2 to 4
  tenths of an inch of possible ice accumulation. The lower
  Columbia and Interstate 5 corridor will see up to a trace to
  one inch of snow before a quarter to a third of an inch of ice
  accumulation in freezing rain.
* Impacts...ice and snow accumulation will cause significant
  driving hazards...including along Interstate 5...and highways 6
  and 26 and 30 in Oregon.

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow...sleet...or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
